NZ Kut - 12 x 12.5

This is a small test run that is another step closer to PZ Kut than MZ Kut was - it still isn't quite PZ Kut yet, which is why I'm calling it NZ Kut -- but, I hope we can skip right over the land of OZ and settle safely back at home with PZ Kut when the next batch is run.

The level of hardness/softness is just about where PZ Kut was and it cuts very well with a gouge.  The break-away properties are much improved with NZ Kut and I have carved successfully with both a gouge and a knife.  There is still a bit more elasticity than is ideal for knives, but the blade moved smoothly through the block for me, only requiring that I do a better job of completing cuts than I had to do with PZ Kut.  It's much easier to work with a knife than Firm Kut and still holds detail beautifully.  One side is smoother than the other, so hold it up to the light and look for the slight striping on the back - it's all pretty smooth, though and I will mark it with an "NZ" on the back side, so you'll know which side is which.

Also, since my T-square is aluminum, there are a few metallic smudges that don't hurt the cutting surface at all.  Just be aware that your piece may not be pure white.

I have approximately thirty big sheets of this material (more than last time since the processing went better).  Since I had to pay for the set-up fee, test run and shipping anyway, I thought I would make the latest test batch available to any carving adventurers who might want to try it.  The last batch got good reviews, and I think this new run is a big step in the right direction.  I will be interested to hear what everyone thinks!!  :)
