OZ Kut - 6 x 8 inch

As a former PZ devotee, I've been waiting for this new material with great anticipation.

OZ Kut is clearly a derivative of the FirmKut and has many of its good characteristics. For example, it will hold tiny detail, and it is firm enough to take a second cut along a line if you didn't get close enough the first time. If you happen to slip or your gouge jumps, it's resilient enough that it won't take a chunk out inadvertently.

But like its predecessor PZ Kut, it is soft enough to be gentle on hands and fingers, even those with a little arthritis. The gouge moves smoothly through the rubber with little resistance. It releases fairly well, and when cutting a long line, the waste doesn't curl up in front of your gouge to block your view.

It inks up nicely, and takes image transfer well.

I carved two detailed, one-inch stamps at the same time - one from PZ and one from OZ. OZ is a winning carving block.
