Firm Kut - I do find this a very hard material to carve with my preferred method of a knife. Lifting out any waste can be tricky, you have to cut all underlying strands to release the waste area you wish to remove. but those are really the only negative points I have!
I have found the material very robust and can withstand years of being out in the elements sited in my local national park here in the UK - Dartmoor.
Letterboxers have found my stamps out in the open, usually turfed up by a rabbit and the box broken, but after snow, ice, wind and rain the stamps still print the same as they were when first carved after many months/years sited.
So would I recommend Firm Kut? Yes, for those that love detail and fine blade carving.
